SIZING AGENT
A sizing agent in the pulp and paper industry is a crucial chemical additive used primarily to impart water resistance to the paper or paperboard.
Without sizing, paper is highly absorbent (like blotting paper), causing writing inks and printing fluids to bleed, blur, and penetrate through the sheet.
INTERNAL SIZING
Added to the (wet end) before sheet formation.
